Breathable waders are lightweight and perfect for warm and moderate weather. They are also the best for multiple-season use by wearing clothing to suit the climate. In the summer,
breathable waders may be worn with shorts and a T-shirt. In
colder weather, the wader may wear multiple layers as required to maintain body heat.
Breathable waders are less durable than
neoprene and therefore often have reinforcements at high-stress areas, like the
knees and seat. Also, breathable waders do not stretch like neoprene and it is best to allow an inch to an inch and a half in inseam to allow for stooping and bending in breathable waders.
